Lawrence Dreyfuss

Lawrence Dreyfuss, RYT 500, is a yoga and meditation teacher, ecstatic dance DJ (known as DJ Oatmeal), poet, storyteller, and student of Jewish approaches to embodiment.

With over a decade of experience as a yoga student across India, Colombia, Hawaii, and Guatemala, Lawrence brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to his teaching.

Lawrence received his first teacher training at Arise Yoga in Crown Heights and went on to study under advanced yogis at Samyak Yoga in Mysore, India. His education then took him to Dharamshala, home of the Dalai Lama in Northern India, where he studied Buddhism and meditation at Tushita. Today, he blends dharma and Jewish spirituality, drawing inspiration for his classes from the lunar cycle. As a former high school English teacher, Lawrence also brings a love of metaphor and the spoken word to his classes, inspiring students to deepen their connection to themselves and the world around them.

At the heart of Lawrence's classes is a belief in the transformative power of yoga to unlock our innermost selves. Through his dynamic and engaging classes, Lawrence guides students to cultivate a greater sense of connection and awareness.
