Studio Policies

  • We kindly require everyone to register for all classes in advance. You can do this on our website or via the Wellness Living Achieve App. We don’t allow walk-ins, and will not allow anyone who hasn’t preregistered to attend class.

Registrations will ONLY be held until 2 minutes before class begins, then spots will be given to students on the Waitlist. Please arrive early to secure your spot, as space is limited in the studio!

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes (or even 10) early to class. We do not have the capacity to let in latecomers, and we let people off the waitlist 2 minutes before class starts.

  • We understand that sometimes schedules change and you’re unable to make it to class. If you can’t attend, kindly cancel your booking on our website or the Wellness Living Achieve App at least 2 hours before class. If you cancel after that, you’ll be marked as a ‘late cancel’ and we won’t return the class to your account.

If you don’t cancel class beforehand, and don’t show up for class, you’ll also see a $5 ‘no show’ fee on your account.

Keep in mind that if you forget to cancel class, you can always email us before class begins and we’ll take care of it for you!

Try as best as you can to plan ahead and communicate if you won’t be there so we can add people in off the waitlist and open up spots!

  • Remember to bring your own mat to class. We don’t have a rental mat system, and while we do have a couple of loaner mats for out-of-towners, we ask that you not rely on those being available. Invest in a great mat for your practice! We have a few options for sale at the studio.

  • Please make sure to allot enough time to fully enjoy the end of class and the transition out of the studio. We don’t allow anyone to leave early from classes unless it is a clear emergency. This is to ensure a beautiful experience for you, and to keep you and your fellow students safe.

  • Please wash your hands often and keep yourself healthy. Do not come to class if you’re feeling unwell, or getting over an illness. Remember: yoga is not a remedy for the common cold, and we want to protect each other as much as possible through flu season (which seems like every season at this point).

  • The studio is a phone, smart watch, and pager (if you still use one!)-free space. Please keep your devices in the front lobby for the duration of class, and enjoy the one time of day when no one can reach you.

If you absolutely need to have your device for medical reasons, please let the teacher know. No other exceptions will be made.

Virtual Studio Tour

We’re excited to be a NEW studio here in Pacific Heights! With a spacious studio, tall ceilings, and big, sunlit windows, this sanctuary has been designed for welcoming, accessible, and inspiring yoga and community events. We can’t wait to welcome you in for class!

 Studio Amenities

  • Upstairs, our non-heated studio is big enough for 25 mats. We have tall ceilings, big windows to let in natural light, dimmer candles and a living wall of beautiful pathos plants spilling over a mural painted by our Founder, Jillian Schiavi

Coming soon, downstairs we’ll have a more intimate studio to accommodate for more yin and restorative classes as well as events and workshops.

  • We provide blocks, blankets, straps, and bolsters for use, and ask that students wipe down any props at the end of class.

  • We have 1 bathroom inside the upstairs studio.

Coming soon downstairs, we’ll have a changing room as well as cubbies to store your valuables.

In the near future, we’ll also have a downstairs bathroom.

We do not have showers in the studio.

  • Our upstairs lobby will have coat hooks, a window seat for lingering before and after class, and cubbies for your shoes.

Coming soon, downstairs we’ll have a salt-cave-like lounge area, complete with a cozy sofa and chairs. We’re excited to offer a beautiful space for relaxing before and after class, and gathering for studio events.

FAQs

  • Walking to the studio, if you can, is your best bet for easy entry!

If you’re driving, the spaces along the studio on California are reserved for school vehicles until 5pm. After that, they’re up for grabs!

  • We do NOT allow walk-ins. If it’s your first time to the studio, we kindly ask that you register before you come to the studio. This is to prevent theft and to provide for your safety in the studio.

After you’ve set up a profile on our website, you can sign yourself up for classes online, or you can drop in to the studio. Our front desk staff will be happy to help you!

  • We recommend that you bring the following:

    • Yoga Mat

    • Towel

    • Water

    • Open Mind

We recommend that you leave behind:

    • Valuables

    • Phone, Smart Watch

    • Negative Energy

  • We offer the following discounts at the studio:

    • School Teachers: 15% off all class packs and memberships

Please email us with a photo of your school ID to take advantage of these!

  • All of our auto-renew monthly memberships require a 3 month commitment when you first join. After that point, your membership continues to renew each month, and you now have the option to pause your membership for up to 30 days (you can do this twice a year), or cancel. If you’re unable to commit to the initial 3 month requirement, or you’d rather take it one month at a time, we recommend you choose the single month unlimited pass.

Single month and annual memberships cannot be paused, cancelled, or refunded.

For auto-renewing memberships, to put your membership on pause (and keep taking advantage of the price point you’re locked in at):

Email sanfrancisco@arise.yoga and let us know how long you’d like to pause your membership. We allow up to 2 pauses per year, for up to 30 days each time. Pausing allows you to travel, explore, take a break, move away and decide to move back - and maintain the rate you’re currently paying when you return.

Keep in mind that you will be charged a prorated amount for any remaining days left in your current billing cycle (on the front or back end of your pause, or sometimes both!). You don’t need to schedule your pause to align with your auto-renew date because of this.

If you ultimately need to cancel your membership (sad!), here’s what we ask:

Email brooklyn@arise.yoga at least 2 weeks before your next scheduled payment date. If you request to cancel after this time, we cannot guarantee that you won’t be charged for your next month of yoga (yes, our inbox really is that full!). We can always refund a payment that you didn’t intend to go through, but we won’t be able to prevent it ahead of time.

Once your membership has been cancelled, we’ll email you a confirmation. Know, of course, that you can always come back at any time, and that the price of a membership may have changed by that time.

Workshops are nonrefundable. They can be transferred to another student, however they cannot be transferred to another workshop or class type.

  • Arise Yoga Members are beloved! When you join as an auto-recurring monthly Member, you get these perks:

    • up to 75% off the drop-in fee

    • 15% off workshops

    • 15% off all retail

    • priority booking over 3rd party apps

    • Member-only events to buid even more community and feel the love for being such an integral part of our community!

  • For all classes outside our Parents and Babies class, participants must be at least 13 years old to attend without a guardian. Younger yogis of 10-12 may attend with a parent or guardian, and anyone younger than that must obtain special permission to attend classes.

Parents and babies classes are for pre-crawling babies. Once your baby can move themselves about the room (congratulations!), they've graduated out of that class.

The one exception at all studios is the Owner's son, River. River (born November 2022) teaches alongside Jillian in her classes. No other teachers have little ones in class.

Please email us if you have any questions!

“Truly phenomenal. Such a good vibe all around, and the classes are challenging while still feeling so inclusive and refreshing.”

— Caylie
