Yoga for Change: Exploring the I Ching in Daily Practice with Barnaby Spring

  • Arise Yoga 730 Franklin Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11238 United States (map)

This workshop will provide time and space for participants to investigate and integrate yoga and mindfulness practice in ways that are aligned with concepts of change, creative thinking and action and that will be grounded in discussion, discourse, debate around how best to apply our yoga practices to the reality of our daily lives, our goals and dreams in the world "out there" beyond the studio and ourselves.

Students will be introduced to and investigate ideas and concepts of the Chinese classic, I Ching; Arthur Koestler's Act of Creation and the World Economic Forum's Sustainable Development Goals. How might our yoga practice and praxis help us to become more aware, accepting of ourselves as individual "sustainable development goals" that can find inspiration and empowerment in our lives via alignment with the critical sustainable development goals of our kind, our planet, our way of life?

Come!  This is a great class/workshop for change-makers: activists, artists, youth and elders!!
