Maija is a San Francisco-based mama, yogi and Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator.
Her classes are based on breath, alignment, and the joy of movement and discovery. Combining energizing flow with restorative asanas and pranayama, Maija's classes intend to leave you with a sense of balance and perhaps feeling a little lighter, a little more grounded, and a little more connected.
The base for her yoga teaching comes from her extensive background in the performing arts and movement. Throughout her profession, Maija has focused on creating presence through somatic exercises and breath, listening, answering, and holding space — this has formed the foundation of her yoga teaching as well.
In her prenatal class, she is committed to creating a nurturing space and giving others the support that yoga has provided her in life's major transitions.
