Whether it's from sitting too much, standing too much, walking too much, or too much yoga (yes, that's possible!), hip pain is something that most of us experience at one point or another.
And while yoga offers a variety of popular "hip opening" poses, it's not always clear what we're doing in these powerful physical and energetic poses.
In this workshop, we'll explore a three-part approach to working with the psoas muscle to ensure your hips are happy and healthy—now and for decades to come. We'll learn to distinguish between "tight" and weak muscles and soft tissues around the hip joint, as well as soft tissue versus joint issues. As major load-bearing joints, the hips are also areas where we can support bone density as we age. And because the hips are home to significant pathways for our energy body and nervous system, we'll explore relaxation strategies that can support pain due to mental and emotional stress and exhaustion.
This workshop is the perfect way to give and receive deep self-love from your body, and nourish your connection to the playful, creative, and resilient muscle that is the psoas.
